During the summer break all pcs in the computer labs will be replaced, because they are between four and seven years old. The new pcs will again be dual-boot, with Windows10 22H2 and Ubuntu 22.04. Lecturers who want to test their Linux course software, can do so on the Linux loginserver lilo8, that has Ubuntu 22.04. The new pcs are Dell Optiplex 7400 All-In-One. The latest version of Matlab, R2023a, is available for departments that have licenses. The software and license codes can be obtained through a mail to postmaster for those entitled to it. The software can also be found on the install-disc. All C&CZ-managed Linux machines have this version installed, an older version (/opt/matlab-R2022b/bin/matlab) is still available temporarily. There is a new version of LabVIEW from NI.com, version 2022Q3. NI.com communicated that they will move to a subscription model for LabVIEW licencing starting with version 2022Q3.
